Personal accounts and organizations
There are now two types of accounts in Post Track, your personal account and organizations. Each type fits a different use case, and you can switch between them at any time from the account switcher.
Personal account
Everyone has a personal account, created automatically when they sign up. It carries your name, belongs to you alone and is meant for your own monitors. It's the ideal place to start tracking mentions without setting up anything beyond the monitor itself.
Organizations
An organization is a shared account built for teams. You create an organization with its own name and identifier (slug), and you can rename it whenever you like. An organization with no monitors can be deleted.
The main difference is who can use the account. In an organization, you can invite members to collaborate on monitors.
Members are exclusive to organizations
The members feature is available only in organizations. In personal accounts, you can't add other people. Inviting new members is limited to organizations, both at the account level and on a specific monitor.
Sharing that already existed in personal accounts keeps working as usual. Only adding new members becomes an organization feature.
Organizations start without a plan
Unlike the personal account, which can use the free plan, an organization starts with no plan subscribed. Before adding monitors, you need to choose a plan for the organization's project on the Overview screen.
That way, each organization subscribes to exactly the plan that fits the volume of monitors its team needs.
